In her writing and public statements I have found the Moderator to be a person of kindness, empathy,  fairness, seeking the best for the organization, in-spite of health issues and the general state of chaos and three ring-circus that is the PCUSA. But make no mistake she is a product and defender of the system which she has worked for.  In that sense use, when you have no unity or consensus on matters of theology, christology, confession or doctrine you seek the lowest common denominator of good deeds done, "social-justice", whatever that means, and the new empty term without meaning "missional". Can you make or form an organization about such concepts? To a point I suppose, but again, Christianity, historic Christianity at its core is not a self-improvement or actualization movement, nor is it a lets be kind to old ladies crossing the street movement either. And that is what has been lost by the progressive/liberal ruling elite. And they are tired, lost and without answers. And so it goes.

She missed an opportunity to say something about the shake-downs for money, and attempted theft of church property and assets by Presbyteries of those faith communities seeking to leave. Some things, even though they may be permissible in the polity are just plain wrong and evil, for lack of a better term. Speaks to one's moral compass.
