			<description>I'm surprised more churches don't embrace the idea of separating civil or legal union from religious marriage, as it is in much of Europe.  The state could define legal civil unions that would grant the various legal rights and obligations on couples, and churches would be free to marry whomever (or NOT marry whomever) they would choose to within their Polity. - Harold Stansfield</description>
