Meet U.S. Congressman John Lewis

Often called “one of the most courageous persons the Civil Rights Movement ever produced,” Rep. John Lewis (D-GA), author with Michael D’Orso of Walking With The Wind: A Memoir of the Movement, has dedicated his life to protecting human rights, securing civil liberties, and building what he calls “The Beloved Community” in America. Lewis, who will offer a keynote address Sunday afternoon, January 4, at the 2009 College Conference, will also be available Sunday morning in Anderson Auditorium for a reception at 9:30 a.m. followed by an informal “question and answer” session at 10:15 a.m. The public is welcome to attend.
